SOME TIPS
Take colour photographs or make a video of your ornaments and other valuables on display. Make a list of serial numbers of electrical items such as tvs, stereos, DVDs etc. Keep this list and your photos in a safe place.
If you don’t have an alarm system, consider getting one. They are not as expensive as you might think. Experience tells us that they are an effective deterrent.
Make sure that you fit good quality locks on doors and windows.

Make sure you ask for credentials when anyone you don’t know knocks on your door
and asks for access to your home.
